Parisian Palace on Sale
The neighborhood that once housed the Rothschild and Onasis families in Paris now features the second most expensive mansion in the world. This property is known as Palais Montmorence and has a retail value of $140 million. The Palais Montmorence is being sold by Daniel Féau for Christie’s Great Estates. It only comes second in monetary value to the Spelling Manor in Beverly Hills, which retails for $150 million.
This private palace is one of the last large private mansions left in Paris. The stately home was build in 1912 for the Duchesse of Montmorency. It was once owned by an art collector by the name of Antenor Patino in 1927. The extravagant interior and exterior located on Avenue Foch is just as important as its history.
With 12 bedrooms, 12 bathrooms and 4 staff apartments, Palais Montmorence boasts close to 28,000 sq ft. The inside panels come from the 18th century, along with the fireplace and painted dining room ceiling created by native painter Henri Rousseau. The elaborate details are also present in other accessories featured within the mansion. Large crystal chandeliers, marble floors, gilded moldings and Corinthian columns also decorate the palace-like estate. A garden is also available at 15,890 square feet.
Located on the avenue known for its pricey residences, the widest roadway also encircles the area. This area is located next to Arc de Triomphe and runs into Porte Dauphine in Bois Boulogne. The tree lined neighborhood is full of history and elegance. For more information about the property, contact Daniel Feau Conseil. The address of the location is 30, Avenue Pierre 1er de Serbie, Paris 75008, France. You can also visit http://www.christies.com/services/trusts-estates/.
